Reporting on Aliens who
Break the Law
Aiding or abetting the illegal entry of aliens
into the Kingdom is an offence according to
the “Immigration Act, B.E. 2522 (1979)”, punishable
by not more than 10 years
imprisonment and a fine not exceeding
100,000 Baht.
Giving residence, hiding or helping in any way
for an alien to stay in the country illegally
or escape arrest, according to the “Immigration
Act, B.E. 2522 (1979)”, is punishable by not
more than 5 years imprisonment
and a fine not exceeding
50,000 Baht.
Setting up a new company
The laws have changed
now when you are setting up a new company you
must have the registration amount in a bank
account, i.e. if setting
up a THB. 1,000,000
company ( to buy a house in your name)
you must have THB. 500,000
in a bank account, the rest in assets.

If setting up a THB.
2,000,000 registered company ( one work
permit) you must have
THB. 500,000 in a bank account. and the
rest in assets.
You must now show payments to shareholders etc.
and your accountant must send in your accounts
each year.

How to report :
If you suspect a foreigner to be a danger to
the country, please report directly to the Investigation
Unit of the Immigration Bureau. Room 411, 4th
Floor, Old building, Soi Suan Plu, South Sathorn

287-1158 or 287-3122 (24 hours) or by mail to
PO Box 1177, Suan Plu Post Office, or the nearest
Police Station.
Driving licence
You must have non-immigrant cat "O" or "B" Visa,
certificate from doctor, two photo's, THB. 110,
copy of passport (plus original) your driving
licence from your home country, on site - a
quick colour eye test.

for internal flights, booking in to hotels,
getting into tourist spots at Thai prices
and as I.D. at police checkpoints whilst driving.
